Blessings {Houston Family Photography}

I am continually amazed at the Lord. His graciousness and sovereignty are overwhelming at times.

I was contacted by Jenny, the mother of Ryder and aunt of Coy, to take pictures of these two cuties. Meeting this family has turned out to be a blessing for me in so many ways.

I first heard about Coy when I was about five months pregnant with Campbell. Someone sent me the link to a site to pray for this little man, who had been born at 23 weeks gestation. Having just started to feel my own tiny baby move around inside me, it hit me pretty hard to see this precious, extremely tiny baby fighting the fight of his life. Since then, I have followed along as his mother has chronicled his progress. Obviously God has worked mightily in the life of this little miracle. He is now a walking, thriving 18 month-old little boy. It truly was a gift for me to meet him and experience the power of God's healing.

Currently, Coy's mother is pregnant with his little sister. She is on hospitalized bedrest and from what I heard she and baby are doing wonderfully, praise God! Coy's sweet Aunt Jenny wanted to have some pictures taken in part to cheer up his mama, who is missing so badly being with him every day!

Isn't he precious?

The other blessing of this session has been my new friendship with Ryder's mama. There is something so God about meeting someone you just know you are supposed to be friends with. She is a joy. (We also have our plans for a future love match between Campbell and Ryder. Campbell even kept saying Ry-Ry after a playdate the other day!).

R Family {Cypress Family Photography}

I am learning that one of the best things about this new job of mine is the people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Some of these people I would have likely never met otherwise. This was definitely the case with the R family. But oh how I would have been missing out!

Remember the H Family? I had just delivered their cd to them when the wife/mom (she's also a friend of mine) called me back and said their friends were in from the UK for just three more days and really wanted to book a session. We fit the session in the evening before they flew back.

By the end of the session I was sad they were leaving. They were such a joy.

I hope you guys love the pictures. And seriously, Lynsey...come back?

Generations {Cypress Family Photography}

Stephanie enlisted me to take some generational pictures of herself, her mother, and her beloved grandmother. While I thoroughly enjoyed the whole session with this group (what a riot they are!), I was most struck by the love and tenderness they have for their mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. It was a pleasure to capture the love this family has for this sweet woman.

And by the way, have you SEEN my awesome new blog header? Ask and you shall receive! Much thanks to my brilliant friend and neighbor, Spencer B. I have been so blessed by the support and encouragement of friends and family as I take on this undertaking of photography as a business. The "Barfussi", as we call them, have been without a doubt some of my biggest supporters. Thanks guys!!
