I love these people.  It has been a blessing over the past several years to know them and experience life with them.  And not only are Tim & Liz great friends of ours, but these boys have a special place in my heart.  Big brother is probably my sweet Campbell’s favorite friend and there is something insanely sweet about the way he cares for her and loves her.  And Declan.  Oh, Declan.  He is one of a kind.  I was overjoyed to get some legit smiles out of that one.  And without a food bribe in sight :)

Liz, Tim, Aidan, and Declan, we Kings adore you guys.  Who knows, we may end up as in-laws after all!

This was my first time to meet this precious family and they were a joy to spend time with.  It was remarkably refreshing to shoot older kids who actually took some direction, and these girls were incredibly sweet to boot!

Holiday Sessions!

McClinton Girls { Katy Child Photographer }

I have known and loved this family for a long time.  And if you have been looking at the images Kristin King Photography produces for any length of time, you will surely recognize them.  These girls have done quite a bit of growing in the two and a half years I have been in business, and it has been my joy to photograph them along the way.  Are they ever beautiful!

They aren’t the only ones who have grown up.  Both Mom and Dad and I go all the way back to high school.  In fact, I’m pretty sure that somewhere around 1998, I referred to dad (Jordan) as “Jordo” for at least a few years.

This past year has been one of growth in mine and Russ’s relationship with our friends the McClintons.  People who were amongst our good friends have now become invaluable life partners.  I am challenged by them, trust them, and love love love spending time with them.

Yesterday I turned 31.  In honor of my birthday, Jordan wrote on my FB wall “Happy Birthday KK! Thanks for marrying Russell....What? That's valid. If you weren't born, you wouldn't have married Russ, and then I wouldn't get to be friends with him...”.  I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Love you McClinton people.  Let’s bring “Jordo” back.

Cooper Newborn { Cypress Newborn Photographer }

Sweet Cooper was a dream during our session, although he did NOT want to let go of his pacifier. I wonder if his quiet determination is a sign of things to come? After a brief NICU stay, it was a joy to watch these brand-new parents love on their very own little darling. Congrats Casey & Baili!

matt + shawna + 3 = SO fun!

 Shawna is a good friend of my sister's, that I have known forever - maybe even since I was her daughter's age! I had so much fun getting to know her family {read, laughing} during our session. You guys are awesome!

 

Kristy & Kyle { Houston Maternity Photographer }

I've known Kristy since High School Drill Team days (Go Bailadoras!), and was THRILLED when she asked  me to do maternity pics for her.  These two were up for anything and so fun to shoot...although they did spend the first half of the session preoccupied with keeping up with the Aggie game!

I can't wait to meet their sweet little girl!
